James Wood became a proud member of the laborers union local 22 at the age of 18 years old. During the years that followed, he was employed by several large construction firms providing manual labor on countless commercial construction
sites throughout Massachusetts.

In 1995, at the age of 21, Mr. Wood founded J.J. Wood company and began developing real estate in the greater Boston area, metro west and throughout the north shore. Starting small, the firm eventually grew to develop and sell over $20,000,000 worth of residential and commercial properties.

In 2011, Mr. Wood joined forces with Jason Steiner to form Hunter Protective Services, Inc.. HPS has since become the premier construction site security firm in Massachusetts providing service to such conglomerates as Callahan Inc., Cranshaw Construction, Mill Creek Residential, John Moriarty & Associates; and many, many more.

In 2017, recognizing the need for a readily available skilled labor force amongst their existing construction client base, Mr. Wood and Mr. Steiner formed S&W Corporate Services, Inc.. S&W is now the trusted provider of many large construction firms and has quickly become the fastest growing skilled labor force in Massachusetts. Headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts, S&W is now strategically positioned to successfully expand into other geographical areas of the country in the upcoming years.
